October 22, 2015 we participated in National Afterschool Lights On. Our community came together with their children and teens. Lights On  Afterschool is organized by the Afterschool Alliance to highlight the many ways quality afterschool programs that support children, families, schools and communities. The Pirates Den Teen Center offers a safe  and caring environment  for your youth.  We lit up floating lanterns and released them into the air as it rained, the sky lit up with what looked liked UFO’s.
Pirates Den Center took some of the teens out to Chris Dunham Farm to get pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. Our youth had fun picking the best pumpkin to carve and take home with them. Thank you Chris Dunham for allowing us to come out to your farm.
We held a sports jeopardy, October 19 2015. The youth have enjoyed jeopardy. It was so much fun to watch them think and rethink about their answers. Yes, our teens are loud and excited but that’s what we are all about. We also held a Pool Tournament with our boys. It turned out to be only boys and they had so much fun.
